G 5228 A: In shaft and chamber. Lining wholly destroyed. Only remains a part, which is cut in bad rock. It is south of B. Total depth 28 cm. Dirty debris. Chamber on west. Cut in bad rock. Only the western jamb is in crude brick. Roof gone. No blocking. Cleared. Drawing.

G 5228 B: In shaft and chamber. Lining wholly destroyed. Only remains a part, which is cut in bad rock. It is north of A and south of G 5229 A. Total depth 40 centimeters. Dirty debris. Chamber on north. Cut in bad rock. Only the eastern jamb with crude brick. Roof gone. No blocking. These shafts without a mastaba. Drawing.

G 5229 A: In shaft and chamber. It is cut in bad rock. North of G 5228 B, and south of G 5232. Total depth 45 cm. Dirty debris and limestone debris. Chamber on north. Built of crude brick and bound with gyps, only on east is bad rock and on west not exposed because of a stone fallen on that side from the serdab of G 5230. Roof gone. No blocking. Cleared. Drawing.

(1) G 5221
G 5221 A: In shaft and chamber. Lined above with masonry on west and south, and with crude brick and stones on north and east, and cut in bad and good rock below. It is north of B. Total depth 10.7 meters. Excavated before 8 meters. Dirty debris, limestone debris, rubble and drift papers. Chamber on west. Cut in rock. No blocking. A north-south stone coffin with lid in place but broken on southwest. Chamber cleared but the coffin not yet cleaned.
G 5221 B: In chamber. Around the coffin on north and south. Sand, red debris, and limestone debris. In the chamber on west appears a cut in rock running from north to south. In the chamber fragments of a wooden coffin, bones, broken jar and complete jar of pottery. All left in place for drawing. Could not be photographed because it is narrow between the cutting and the coffin. West of the coffin not yet cleared.

A partly destroyed stone mastaba. North of G 5233 and west of G 5234. With four shafts A, B, C, D. Sketch of the mastaba.
