North of that mastaba and south of M. Boraize's [Baraize] house. In removing the dump debris, searching for new mastabas and shafts in that place. Sand, limestone debris, rubble, stones, and dirty debris. Nothing exposed yet.
(7) North of G 2473
Margin Note: G 2473 inscribed stones.
North of this mastaba. In front of the door of the room on north. In exposing the southwest corner of G 2440. Sand, limestone debris, rubble and stones. Found in debris in front of the door of the room: Nummulitic limestone broken in two inscribed in sunk relief, (measurement of the stone, length, 1.7 meters, width, .52 meters, thickness, .18 meters), Nummulitic limestone inscribed in sunk relief and showing a seated figure on a chair, (measurements, length, 1.75 meters, width, .47 meters, and thickness, .2 meters). The stones left in place now. Sketch of the two inscribed stones.
Also north of that mastaba appeared a stone lining of a new mastaba, not yet numbered. Exposed the southwest corner of the mastaba. Also exposed the lining of that mastaba on north and exposed the door of the room, which is opened to the north. The room will be described when we cleaned it. Also the work is south of that mastaba, or above G 2198. In exposing the remains of the shafts, if any more than the ten exposed one. Shafts not yet lettered. Also north of this mastaba appeared a small mastaba, built on west with crude brick, on north with rubble and on east partly destroyed, on south the lining of G 2198 which is of stones. Contains one shaft lettered A and the mastaba is G 2198c. the drawing of the mastaba and its shafts will be drawn when the shafts have their letters.
