G 2392 C: Removed the inscribed stone [fragment of lintel inscribed for Iufi] [40-1-12a] after photo, but the offering stone left in on top of the mastaba. Sketch of the stone.

On top of the mastaba. In exposing the shafts and the remains of the lining on east and north. Sand, limestone debris, rubble and stones. Exposed seven shafts but not yet lettered and not yet started with them. Also appeared a limestone stele on east to north, the remains of the shafts not yet exposed. No inscription appeared. Remains of shafts and the lining on east not yet exposed.

On top of the mastaba. In exposing the lining on east. Sand, limestone debris, rubble. Exposed the upper part of the lining on east. The foundation of the mastaba on east not yet exposed.

(1) East of G 2440
East of that mastaba in exposing the foundation of that mastaba on east. Sand, limestone debris, rubble, and big stones. East of that mastaba a stone uninscribed room, also north of the room appears a stone lining. The foundation of that mastaba on east not yet exposed, and also the foundation of the room not yet exposed. We are not sure if the room and the other building belong to that mastaba or to other mastaba. The railway continued to the south, to expose the lining on that side. Lining on south not yet exposed.
