G 5227 C: In shaft and chamber. Lined above with rubble, only on west with crude brick and bad rock below. It is south of B. Total depth 2.65 meters. Dirty debris, limestone debris and pebble. Chamber on west. Cut in bad rock. Roofed with slabs. No blocking. Body, lying north-south, with head thrown to the east. Left for drawing, because we could not photographed it because in the shaft is a big stone fallen from G 5220.

G 5227a A: In shaft and chamber I. Lined above with masonry topped with rubble and cut in bad rock below. It is east of B. Down 3.75 meters. Excavated before 2 meters. Dirty debris, limestone debris, rubble and drift papers. With two chambers I, and II.
Chamber I: On north. Cut in bad rock. Only on west with crude brick and bound with gypsum. Roofed with slabs. No blocking. It is higher than chamber II. Cleared. Empty.
Chamber II: On east. Cut in rock. Blocked with two slabs and some rubble and bound with traces of mud. Left for photo. Not reached the rock in shaft.

G 5227a B: In shaft and chamber. Lined with rubble, and ends at rock. It is west of A. Total depth 2.35 meters. Dirty debris, limestone debris and rubble. Chamber on north. Built of rubble, only on east with crude brick bound with gypsum. Roofed with slabs. No blocking. Cleared. Drawing.

Today we finished preparing the railway line west of G 2430 and started the work in that place, searching for new mastaba and shafts.

(1) West of G 2430
Margin note: G 2435, G 2435 X.
West of that mastaba searching for new mastabas. Sand, limestone debris, rubble, stones, dirty debris and potsherds. Part of the mastaba on east appears with stones. With an inscribed niche on south inscribed in relief and a figure in relief of the stele. Also three shafts appeared west of that mastaba and east of the new discovered mastaba, in the street between the two mastabas. The shaft which is in front of the stele, appeared the roof of it with stones from which are two stones inscribed, one with figures and sunk relief inscriptions and the other with the upper part of a figure in relief, now left in place, for photo. Shaft and mastaba not yet numbered. The rest of the lining on east not yet exposed.

(2) G 5131
G 5131 A: In shaft and chamber. Total depth 5.6 meters. Sand, limestone debris, and drift paper. Chamber on west. Cut in rock. No blocking. North-south rock cut coffin appeared (unfinished coffin). Perhaps no body was put inside the coffin. Cleared. Drawing on page 868.
