Wind still from southwest, sky overcast, cold.

Official reports that Poland campaign is going in favor of Russians. Unofficial reports claim a great victory - the first real smashing blow on either side in the war. The latter are probably premature, to say the least.

Work in front of G 5230 S and G 5232. Pit A of G 5330 and space in front of G 5234 and G 5230 N.

In front of G 5230 N under the pile of stone is a layer of decayed limestone, then carbon dust and ashes, then sand. [ILLUSTRATION] In the sand high up, fragments of black granite statuette x x x x.

G 5232
In G 5232 A, at north end of box the decayed arm of a life-sized wooden statue. On east, a bronze knife, and a deposit of alabaster models.
