Work continued as yesterday.
About 10:30 we were notified of another limestone head found in G 4540. When cleared for photography it was clearly seen (by the profile which faced west) to be that of a woman's. It has been very slightly chipped on the end of the nose, otherwise perfect. This makes a total of eight portrait heads found this year.
Another alabaster bowl found in G 4640, together with a flint flake and an alabaster cylindrical cup in place in the bowl.

The following telegram was received from Mr. West [at Kerma]: "Full details yesterday deep temple in Kom around and inside grave while over everything mud-walls as before objects as before eight broken worthless statuettes no need hurry here may I start Kom south of Defufa next. West."
