[ILLUSTRATION] West wall of chamber behind north niche in G 2000. The line starts with the second course and runs up diagonally to the top of the fifth course. The purpose of the line is not clear to me.
[ILLUSTRATION] bottom of niche.
a, a = unfinished blocks.
b = niche.
c, c = level of chamber.
d, d = joints made by corner of chamber walls meeting outside casing. Does not run below fourth course from top.
The chamber is dressed with small squared blocks laid against the large rough filling blocks on the northwest and south sides. The floor is either unfinished or almost wholly destroyed.
Dr. Reisner and myself spent all day in G 2381 A, having lunch tea and dinner served there. About one hundred sixty (160) objects were recorded and removed before 9:30 p.m. when we stopped work.
