Two holes dug yesterday north of mastaba d [= G 2190] show ca. 130 cm depth of debris. There is no use in digging out this section, and the dump from d [= G 2190] and c [= G 2180] was started out over it.
Tuesday, February 27, 1912
In the morning went to town re: clothes, winch, pulley, etc. Mr. Hubbard and party called with letter from Mr. Lane. Fisher showed them the excavations. Fisher finished map of a section of the work done in 1905-6 (Lythgoe) so that Professor Junker (Austrian Academy) could run a rail embankment out to the north.
In b2 [= G 2150] found burial pit just behind serdab but it is filled with sand, (i.e. opened and plundered).
Section between mastabas c [= G 2180] and d [= G 2190] finished at sunset. Work started on pits of IX 5 [= G 2184].
