room 2 is the seated figure [MFA 12.1482, inscribed for Akhmerutnisut] in situ by the south side of door to room 2 (at "a"). In front of door is a three part offering slab [MFA 12.1481] "b" sunk in floor. The names and titles of figure are inscribed on base of statue. The north end of room 1 is not quite cleared, but the east mud wall seems to be built in the curved manner indicated on sketch. Along east side of chamber 1-2 the face of another mastaba appears.

Sunday, February 18, 1912

A heavy wind and sandstorm raged all day. Most of the men were put to carrying stones from works to house for erection of tents for party expected Wednesday. Tents were made ready but not erected because of wind.
