The walls rise to an even height of about four courses above street level. At northwestern corner of this decayed exterior chapel a pile of hard debris thrown out from pit in G 4710; this was removed. Thus it is clear that the chapel had fallen into decay before the plundering of the pit.

Interior offering chamber in east face of G 4710 partly cleared of sand (had been cleared by Lepsius [No. 49]). Stone from this offering chamber now in Berlin Museum Nos. 1125, 1126, 1127, and 1149. Walls of nummulitic limestone in relief. Southeastern corner destroyed. The name of [GLYPHS] on west wall (northwest corner).

(2) G 4610
Work resumed on pit G 4610 A in sand to a depth of about 10 meters (see diary of 17th). Chamber has appeared on south side, open and filled with sand.

(3) G 4612
Work continued on pit A in G 4612 in dirty sand and (later) dirt and limestone debris. On south side at about 2 meters a small chamber (intrusive?). Down to about 4 meters.
