Two more pits were opened in G 5031.

x - This is a rough rubble addition to G 5031 made to take the burial pit D. The other rough walls in this part were probably begun for the same purpose.

(2) G 5040
The rock-cut offering rooms under the southern end of G 5040 were cleared out, and a sloping passage [ARROW] S discovered which had been recently plundered (two empty tins for Cirio peaches).

In the debris of the sloping passage we also found a fragment (chin and mouth) of a plaster mask.

Finished pit B in G 5040.

(3) Sloping passage under G 5040
Cleared passage between G 5040, G 5140, G 5130 and east. Especially in the neighborhood of G 5040 this area had been disturbed in modern times.
