G 7140 C: Continued clearing outer chamber of G 7140 C (which was part of Isis Temple), dirty sand, brown dust, fragments of stone.

All these three pits belong of course to the Isis Temple as a mortuary temple.
Cars emptied:
Line IV to 8:00 am: 58, 8:30 to noon: 152, 1:00 to 4:30 pm: 215
Total 425
Short carry. In afternoon stopped work n G 7140 C because of long carry and turned the gang concerned on the debris on east face of G I-c (south of temple). Prepare to dump later from G 7140 C into Isis Temple pit in room F.
(1) Isis Temple
Finished room P in which was a large burial pit. North of P was G 7012 A.
Working out debris in pit of room F: Down 8.50 meters.
South of C, clearing a passage unexcavated, we opened a small room M.
Cleared north side of hall of columns = room Q. The bases of the columns rest on debris.
Clearing Room R which lies between Q and the Pyramid G I-c. The wall between Q and R, those around R and the foundations of R appear to belong to the original temple of G I-c. But a large hole has been cut in the floor.
