Attempt on the Dardanelles has apparently come to grief - no news. Attack seems to me to have small chance unsupported by a land force, but the Greeks are the only available land force. They appear to be neutral or waiting on Bulgaria.

Clearing enclosing wall of pyramid I northwards and southwards.
[ILLUSTRATION]
At (1) a cross wall runs at right angles parallel to south face of pyramid. A doorway leads out south to Khafre precincts, encumbered with fallen blocks of rubble wall.
(2) From (2) southwards, the face of the wall is cut in solid rock below on which was built rubble wall. From (2) northwards, the wall is rubble resting hard debris. [ILLUSTRATION]
(3) This section of the rubble wall has been rebuilt and bulges slightly 10 - 15 cm beyond the line. There has been a wash of water through this place injuring the old wall.
(4) At this place the walls are not yet clear. Some sort of rubble structure lies west of the line.
Work continues between Lepsius 44 (G 5110) and 43 (G 5220) and in the niche of 44 (G 5110).
