The last graves in this cemetery are about Dynasty VII; it is too early to fix the date of G 4611 and G 4513 but G 4514 is later than both these. It appears to belong to the end of the family complex G 4513, G 4512, G 4516, G 4517 (rather than to G 4611 etc.). Pits D and A are among the latest pits in this complex. It is certain then G 4614 A 2 has not been plundered since they were built. The filling above is dirty debris (not sand, nor clear limestone debris). The mastaba is poor and therefore no great finds are to be anticipated if the pit is unplundered but the evidence will be valuable.
Today Mrs. Reisner and Mary and Miss [Merkel] going to Cairo on Christmas shopping, rode "Duke" and "Rupert" and the donkey "Star" to the tram, and turned them over to Abd-er-Rahim, Sadig Osman and Tahir Ahmed to bring back to the house. Disobeying orders,
