containing one small model vase [ILLUSTRATION], dark dirt and a few fragments of reddish clay, probably from a decayed statuette.
In hard debris on east face of G 4520 were found the upper part of a white limestone figure [14-3-29] (headless) belonging to head [14-3-22] found March 26, a hand [14-3-30], painted, and the right side of an inscribed statuette [14-3-31, part of seated pair statue of Kap and Niankhhathor, joins 14-3-24]. Sand at southeast of G 4520 being removed.

Work started clearing pit No. G 4520 to a depth of about 2 meters in sand. Search for a second pit to north with no definite result so far.

Between G 4620 and G 4520
Head [14-3-32] (belonging to pair statuette No. 14-3-16 [standing pair statue of Kap and Hy]) in nummulitic limestone found in street between G 4620 and G 4520 in hard debris thrown out from G 4620. Work finished clearing street between G 4620 and G 4520. See diagram.

Work continued on pit No. G 4520 and search continued for a second pit to the north. Work continued clearing sand debris from street northwest and west of G 4520.

Work stopped at 3:30, wages paid.

G 4522 tentatively assigned to Kap based on fragmentary statue finds; presumably because only evidence for a chapel (assuming statues originated in a chapel) in area where fragments were found is G 4522. Might be same Kap who appears (identified as [sn Dt] brother of the funerary estate) on limestone false door (MFA 21.3081) inscribed for Khufuankh (owner of G 4520).
