[G 5110 (continued)]
unfinished. The niches are not inscribed.
G 5220
The mastaba G 5220 is also unfinished. It is later than G 5110, and the construction plane is still in place on south side. Between G 5210 and G 5220 is an older mastaba denuded to foundations and extending under G 5211. This older mastaba was, I believe, cleared away to make an approach to G 5110. G 5210 is older than the construction plane of G 5220, but late than G 5110.

[ILLUSTRATION]
(1) G 5411, G 5412
A mastaba G 5411 with a slanting passage (A) going down south. The pit B appears to open into A. Beside G 5411 on west, remains of a mastaba G 5412 with a slanting passage to south (A). Fragments of alabaster statue were found in old debris north of G 5411 (about 5 meters away), over northwest corner of G 5411, and over pit G 5412 A.
(3) G 5220
G 5220 A was an unfinished pit entering less than 2 meters into rock. Rock found bad and pit abandoned. West of A another smaller pit filled also with sand.
