Work as yesterday. Small stone room and mud-brick room exposed. Street nearly completed.

Men's day off.

Wednesday, December 3, 1913

Part of gang left to finish street between G 4440 and G 4540.
Pits in mastabas Nos. G 4330 and G 4430 started. Both reaching a depth of about 6 meters at end of day. Debris sand and limestone chips in G 4430, and in G 4330.
In pit No. G 4430 were found fragments of a mud portrait head, and many potsherds.

Twelve students from Boston were shown the works.

Two mud seals (one in fragments) found in pit No. G 4430 very early in the a.m. bearing impressions of a cylinder seal with the Horus-name of Khafre: [GLYPH].
Street between G 4440 and G 4540 finished.
