and G 2387 A (north of G 2385). The rock-cut trench which lies under the mud wall is an early drainage trench for the plateau. The passage of G 2385 A crosses it, and has sides and bottom repaired, filling [ILLUSTRATION] up and stopping drain.

G 2381 Z, proved a surprise.

It appeared to be intrusive, like X, but contained a remarkable number of objects - the offering cases of limestone mentioned yesterday, copper knives and chisels [12-12-133, 12-12-135, 12-12-137, 12-12-138, 12-12-139, 12-12-140] (fifteen - twenty), copper vases small [12-12-142, 12-12-145, 12-12-146, 12-12-147, 12-12-148] (about fifty), gold foil and [ILLUSTRATION] [quartzite and basalt vessels, 12-12-158a] ([in red u]twice[end in red u]
