G 2130. Finished pit. A small quantity of sand had run into thieves hole in door block. The chamber was heaped with stones and dirt. The walls are cased with black granite and limestone. Ordered chamber cleared.
In front of G 2190, found the chamber of a mastaba G 2191 built against the unnumbered mastaba, G 2300 [= G 5190] in front (on the east).
Bad wind from northeast all day.

Said Ahmed returned to Girga. The new cemetery found by sebbakeem above the sagiah of Sheikh Nasir is Roman-Coptic in date. The cemetery between Maseed and Mesheikh is pre-dynastic. The cemetery above Mesheikh is Middle Kingdom. Said took a very good Middle Kingdom coffin with wrapped mummy to our house at Naga-ed-Deir. This Middle Kingdom cemetery is worth excavating.
G 2130. Chamber cleared. Stone coffin broken. A few scattered bones. Casing intact except one stone in southeast corner of pavement. Tombs of this date often had a concealed hole in floor containing magical head. The next
