Clearing debris east of G 7530. Uncovered room G 7530 a.

G 7450 X: In chamber of pit II. Clearing debris. Found in debris: large scarab of green stone (inscribed), slate scarab (inscribed), stone beads, faience amulets, and ushabti fragments.

(3) G 7540
South of mastaba G 7540, north of G 7550.
G 7540 V: Depth 10.90 meters. Chamber on west, rock-cut, no door blocking.

Room a: Built of stones, part inscribed.

(4) G 7000 X
Completed construction of case for lifting sarcophagus. Turned sarcophagus back on to its base having first put the lid back in position, with muslin between it and the sarcophagus. First covered the alabaster with felt and canvas, then placed panels of light woodWork on each face, and finally built a crate of heavier wood over this to take the rope slings and to bear the scraping of transit.
Placed rope sling in position and erected tripod, winch, etc. over pit mouth, and left all in readiness for lifting.
