Wheeler swept up loose material in surface.
i) scraps of potsherds
ii) few bits of charcoal
iii) scraps of facing plaster
iv) disintegrated cloth and wood
v) layer of floor dust (limestone) in hollows (as usual) exposed remains of wood, but most of wood on floor consisted of mere wood dust.
No. 1433: floor area marked in red on A4439. See pages 1509-10.
Deposit of "gray muck" continuation of No. 1300.
Wheeler swept up or removed top layer and found a sheet of wood north-south grain on a lower layer of cloth (as in 1300): i.e. two traces[?].
String and potsherd between two layers.
No. 1400: the fragments of decayed wood dropped down from copper sheath (beam) 1407 (q.v.). See A4441.
Dunham removed in sections, placed on trays beginning at the north end.
