No. 656: A band of very fragile wood running east-west over 658, 629 and westward to above 667. Was over 654. Proves to be very thick and from its position might be end of frame of east-west boundary; is of different appearance from main bars of bed.
No. 657: Triangular fragment of alabaster on side of 629
No. 658: Is a fragment of alabaster bowl east of 629 in same level, but could not be moved at this stage.
No. 659: Cleaned off the rubbish on 658, 629. On 629, decayed pottery.
No. 660: Fragments of charcoal on 629.
No. 661: A potsherd of a WSR jar lying on top of 629 and broken in three places.
No. 662: North-south wood under west end of 653. Three fragments of gold. Underneath more mud model (continuation of 618).
*A3944: pile of vessels, models (618), copper oxide (617) etc, looking south along west wall.

Wheeler drew scale plan 1:5 of pile of pottery as now is, on page 566.
No. 617: The mass of oxide mentioned on June 30 (see Diary IV, page 382) was supposed to be from a pile of copper blades, on examination today, it proved to be merely a lump of powdery, light green oxide (9x 41 cm) resting on east-west wood.
Wheeler added to plan (1:2 scale) on page 538, details of 318 now exposed.
