No. 1415: area of "gray muck" continuation north of No. 1300.
See A4410 (marked in blue).
Swept off deposit of disintegrated "gray muck" and exposed layer of potsherds.

No. 1416: area north of 1415 (under 1411). A4416.
Swept up disintegrated substances on surface.
i) masses of dark crumbly substance (like dried mud) in south and west parts of area.
ii) fragments of white plaster.
iii) few scraps of charcoal.
iv) small fragments of wood.
v) several bits of copper from beams.
vi) gray mud.
vii) small scraps of pottery.
viii) dust and decay of mud and cloth and three scraps of gold sheet from beams.

Armistice Day. Communiqué in Gazette. Dunham arrived at 12:45 from Port Said and was met by el-Meyyit with hired bus.
Wheeler and I intended to go but works-car broke down and left us stranded.

Against the east wall wood is still sticking, grain running up and down. Between the wall and the remaining pottery this wood goes on down. The side of a box which contained the pottery.
