In and on this bowl was crumbled wood and fragments of "gray muck" underneath the bowl was thin layer of "gray muck" on floor wood.
(a) Removed north-south wood over western part of area 1019 (see A4133) brushed off crumbs and exposed layer of gray "muck" over part of the area.
(b) Removed north-south wood over next section east, wood lying on surface is better preserved.

Fragments of similar wood with grain in every direction, under these crumbs of wood, fragments, gray muck (cloth) and in one place bits of copper verdigris.
