of thin copper blades(?) which lie about 8 cm south of the point of knife (596). These blades have oxidized to the same serious extent as those on top of the pile of pottery.
Fragments of the present blades still remain (?), but the deposit is mostly powdery oxide. Leaving blades, gathered up pill-box full of green oxide. (No. 617).
No. 618: Clearing the dust under 615 and 616, expand mass of mud objects along wall.

Drew plan of 618 (1)-(5). There are four larger objects of black mud - so decayed that the forms were obscure (see (6)-(43)), higher up in debris. Swept up under (1)-(5) and exposed fully the objects underneath.

The rest were too broken to identify. The deposit continues, to south, under fragments of stone vessels.
