Gold case of canopy pole. This bent pole lying askew at the back had to be removed to free 1371, 1372, 1373. These latter lie on top of remaining pile of pottery and have to be moved to permit removal of pottery. [ILLUSTRATION] We passed two cloth bands around shaft and the whole came up quite easily. The wood inside is badly rotted, treated it with celluloid solution.

Two gold cased beams with copper fittings but no copper back. These lay on top of the others and had to be removed first. They were found to be attached and were lifted together. See below (next page).
