(107) large fragment thick red ware.
(108)-(110) areas as marked on A4272, removed wood, scraps of potsherds, etc. fallen from above, underneath in (108) and (109) was a thin layer of brown dust (wood?) resting on rock or on floor dust. But under (110) were traces of east-west wood probably from the fallen north side of box (4).
No. 1102: See A4272.
Floor area, cleaned off areas (d), (e) and (f) exposing wood on floor. The north-south wood on west edge rests on east-west wood.
No. 1068: resumed. See B6075.
(161) scattered group of eight or more red polished scraps, see A4273.
(162)-(163), (165)-(178) scraps of red polished, red ware and red brown ware, mostly decayed.
(179) cleaned up corner under the above - pottery decay and about twenty-five scraps.
(164) fragments of plaster 7 x 4.8 x 3.2.
No. 899: gold sheet rilled bottom of deben box - lifted
No. 1001 - 1007: Seven deben rings adhering together - lifted these all together and placed them on a padded tray which was provided with four strips of cloth, let the tray down into its box by means of the lifting strips. Tied the edges of the sheet together with thread tied over the deben rings, passed a specially made wooden mandrel (half round and tapering to fit inside of rings) through the rings (under the thread). Wheeler lifted the whole up and put the tray under it. No damage. Under it north-south wood and some scattered objects, see A4277.
