Inside, a mass of potsherds, wood, clumps of gray dust, plaster, etc. The position of mass has shifted by tilting of bowl.

In the original position 626 was covered by 625 and the pottery in 626 must have been there when the bowls were set in place. After the bowls sunk down and tilted into present position much of the wood and plaster etc, appears to have slipped in between 625 and 626 from above.

No. 627: Pottery bowl with two handles [ILLUSTRATION] and a spout [ILLUSTRATION] R.W. wet smoothed.

Inside is caked dust packed by pressure of No. 626 and over and in this wood fragments (fallen in, as in case of 626).

No. 628: Pottery bowl like 627 with two handles and a spout, D 41.3 cm, H 15 cm.
Inside a cracked water-silt deposit (black) with depression of bottom of 627. Under the silt is a deep deposit of reddish drab sandy material.

Made plan of pile as is. See page 558.

No. 600: Fragment of alabaster bowl (see 581, etc). In it wood, plaster, charcoal, potsherds, etc. fallen in from above. Underneath east-west boards.
