On the top of the mastaba, in exposing the building and the shafts on east and north. Lined with stones, east of G 2402b, G 2406, north of G 2403, west of G 2409. White limestone debris, potsherds and dubsh. Building and shafts not yet exposed.

A very strong wind today and we stopped the work in the afternoon.

G 2402b A: Removed the chamber blocking. Lined with mud brick and dubsh. One stone, dubsh and mud bound. Body, head on north. Left for photo.

G 2402b B: Removed the chamber blocking. Lined with mud brick and dubsh and bound with mud, mud brick from blocking, and black debris in chamber. Body, head on north, and fragment of wooden coffin. Found in debris in the blocking: fragment sandstone with green copper. Body left for photo.

G 2402b C: Removed the chamber roof. Dubsh, stones and mud bound. Body, head on north. Left for photo.

G 2402b Z: Removed the chamber blocking. Lined with stones. One stone, some dubsh and in chamber limestone debris. Body left for photo.

(3) G 2407
On the top of the mastaba. In exposing the building and the shafts of this mastaba on east and north. Limestone debris, dubsh, sand and some stones. Four shafts exposed today, and three shafts were excavated before, but not yet numbered, only we number shaft C.

G 2407 D: It is north of the serdab which is north of shaft C. Lined with dubsh. On west, big stone, the same as a roof in shaft. Down 90 cm. Limestone debris and dubsh. Found in the beginning of the shaft: big door lintel [36-4-56] inscribed in relief and hav[ing] a cartouche with the name "Khufu", broken into two fragments. After photograph[ing] the door lintel we removed it from the pit, and underneath the lintel door we found - statue [36-4-53], standing, half size, broken in two pieces above knee. Named Khufuw-khenui [Khuienkhufu]. Tip of right thumb and handkerchief broken off. Seated statuette [36-4-52], tip nose and part over left eye and tip of middle toe chipped off. Lower part of right hand, corner of base broken off. Name Ka-m-Iset [Kaemiset]. The statue and the statuette are both photographed and removed to camp. Not reached the rock in shaft. Chamber not yet reached.
