On the top of the mastaba. In exposing the shafts and lettering them. Sand, limestone debris, dubsh and stones. Exposed four shafts A, B, X, Y. In front the southern niche appears an offering stone [38-3-22] incised [inscribed for Kaankh(?)]. Left for photo. Drawing of G 2054 with shafts.

PROF. EDGELL AND MR. AND MRS. LINDON SMITH VISITED THE HOUSE OF MOHAMMED AND MAHMOUD SAID TODAY AT QUFT, THEY SPENT THE NIGHT. THEY WENT TO THE DESERT EAST OF QUFT TO THE SITE WHERE DR. REISNER FIRST START EXAMINING THE DESERT IN 1889.

G 2054 A: In shaft. Lined above with rubble to the beginning of the bad rock. It is south of B. Total depth 2 meters. Limestone debris, rubble and red debris. Ends at rock. No chamber. Type 7 X.

G 2054 B: In shaft. Lined with rubble, crude brick underneath and cut in rock below. It is north of A. Total depth 6.2 meters. Limestone debris, dubsh, stones and dirty debris. Chamber on south. Cut rock. No blocking. Reached the rock in shaft and not started in the chamber.

G 2054 X: In shaft and chamber. Lined above with crude brick on three sides, only on north with rubble, and cut in bad rock below. It is east of Y and south of A. Total depth 2.7 meters. Drift sand. Chamber on north. Cut in bad rock. No blocking. Cleared. Drawing.
