On the top of the mastaba, on north. In exposing the remains of the shafts in the mastaba. Sand, limestone debris, dubsh and dirty debris. Exposed one shaft today, not numbered yet and not started in it.

Mr. W.S. Smith arrived from England after America at 10.30 p.m., after delivering the manuscripts of the first volume of the "GIZA NECROPOLIS" to the OXFORD UNIVERSITY PRESS.

West of this mastaba, between it and G 2051, search for new mastabas and shafts in that place and in exposing the northeast corner of G 2051 for drawing. Sand, stones, rubble and limestone debris. Exposed some shafts not yet numbered yet.
