Removed Nos. 217 - 225.
No. 217: A row of gold hieroglyphs, lying on wood on top of a broad decorated band of gold leaf but not belonging to that band. (10) was still embedded in the wood.
[GLYPHS]
This proves that the tomb is that of the "mother of the king of upper and lower Egypt" and a queen [GLYPHS].
*B5916
No. 218: A row of gold hieroglyphs as 217, but separated and further to west.
[GLYPHS]
The significance of these will not be clear until we have assembled the displaced hieroglyphs visible to west and south.
The position of the grave and the presence of the canopy given by Sneferu indicate that this is the tomb of the mother of Khufu, a queen of Sneferu but the possibility is not excluded that she was the mother of Sneferu and grandmother of Khufu.
Nos. 219 and 220: Arm bar of chair.
