At noon we stopped for photo of fragments recorded under above numbers. Afternoon, we removed Nos. 30 - 52.
These were of the same kinds of sheet up to No. 47.
No. 47: Had covered two sides of a rectangular bar and had two (originally three dowel-holes)
[ILLUSTRATION] 45 x 6.9 x 4.9
No. 48: Was another strip from a curving circular rim.
At this point we reached the consideration of the southeast corner of the lower pit.

fragments of fiber
upright wooden board?
gold
charcoal
decayed fiber

This area is lightly sprinkled with black powder and at are fragments of coarse woven fiber like the sacks (or sack-baskets) of Old Kingdom. The fiber is too decayed to move without treatment.
The area north of this and west contains fragments of white plaster some with prints of reeds (coarse mat?)
*A3688
Had to leave this for photography and went on with 49 - 52 which presented fragments similar to those already moved.
Stopped at 5:25.
D. D. makes scale drawings and archives objects on photo print. Said lifts the object and hands it to Dunham. I enter it on the tomb sheet and write the number on a slip of paper while D. takes the measurements. The object is then lain on its number in the tray.
