total 376
about 80 men

(1) Avenue G 3
Between Pyramids G I-b and G I-c. Continued clearing westwards with lengthening carry but the labor involved in getting a railroad line into the avenue is prohibitive.
Reached about three-fifths along pyramids. In the middle, the casing of G I-b is preserved to a height of only two courses but that of G I-c to six or seven courses. The trenches of the stone thieves are quite clear on both sides and are filled with yellow debris of decay.

West of the middle of G I-c on the rock (?) is a construction in white limestone which appears to lead to the entrance to the burial chambers of G I-c but this construction is not yet sufficiently excavated to determine its date or character.
In the black debris, fragment of a seated statuette of a ___ [GLYPHS] [Khufukhaf], two battered Saite stelae [25-12-467, 25-12-468], and fragments of Saite-Ptolemaic objects.
