Rowe assured him that no such letter had been received and Mr. Tottenham then explained that a man had come to his office in the morning claiming to be Reisner's servant and had taken the letter. He had further "borrowed" 30 P.T. for benzine (= gas) for "Reisner's car." It seems that a leakage of information about this communique has occurred, and urgent steps are being taken to secure this man.

The courtyard of this tomb was roofed over today with planks. A door has been made in the center of the roof for lighting purposes, and a second door has been placed at the turn of the stairway.
