Continued removing mass of inlays and fragments fallen in beside west side of stone.
No. 339: (66)-(82) from (Y), (Q), (Z), etc.
No. 343: Gold hieroglyph [GLYPHS] from horizontal line of inscription.
It is necessary to clear away the dislocated inlays which obscure the mass of molded plaster which lay under and about the bar 327.
No. 344: (1)-(20)

Mr. and Mrs. Crowfoot came at noon and the whole afternoon was given up to them.

(2) Street G 7200
Continued the excavation of street G 7200, southwards from the chapel of mastaba G 7240. The southwest corner of the core of G 7340 was uncovered.

Work only carried on in G 7000 X.

(1) G 7000 X
Removed molded plaster 345 (1)-(38) and spooned out rest with knife blade.
No. 346: (1)-(21) inlays, etc. dislocated to northeast of 345.
No. 347: (1)-(29) inlays, etc. dislocated lying over the gold from of (Z)-3 which runs northwest from eastern palm capital. These are probably from (Q)-2. Among them 347 (5) was the hieroglyphic sign determinative of the queen's name.
Nos. 348, 349, 350: Decayed wooden bars lying over (Z)-3.
