Removed debris on western part of lower pit and exposed more stones.

Removed two scraps of gold leaf along north end of coffin: Object Nos. 8, 9.
Removed block of wood (No. 10) at northwest corner of coffin. Perhaps the coffin was slid in over blocks of wood (not rollers) and this is one of them.
Removed larger strips of gold leaf, Nos. 11, 13, 14, 15. Nos. 14 and 15 may be parts of one piece and were ribbed [ILLUSTRATION] having apparently been fitted onto cylindrical wooden pieces. Number 11 is a plain band and No. 13 is semicircular.
No. 12 was also a plain band but the east end runs under limestone chip and could not be moved until Nos. 11, 13, 14 and 15 were out of the way. But under No. 15, we found two potsherds lying on the limestone chip above No. 12.
And stopped at 4 p.m. for photograph.

Dunham has made a scale drawing of this part of the room, marking the gold objects in red outline, the other objects in blue, and the stones and rock-cuts in black ink.
He also outlined the objects in pencil on a photo print.
Before each object came out, we numbered the drawings and the photo. As the objects
