Cleared the ante-chamber, the sloping passage, and began on the large burial chamber. The drift sand and washed debris extends to the doorway of the inner chamber. But the inner chamber is filled with broken stone embedded in sand and dust. The two chambers were lined with white limestone which is partially preserved.

Vyse, page 67, plate and page 69 text notes the lining of the inner chamber only. At the place marked "hole" someone (Vyse, I suppose) has dug a hole through the debris to the floor and thrown the earth and stones up on the rest of the debris. Beside the hole on the north is the face of a wall which may be the end of the chamber. I do not think that Vyse can have cleared this room although he states positively that he did so and that there was no sarcophagus. The lining is of small blocks of white limestone like the chambers in the Khufu mastabas G 1200, G 4000 a, b, c. If Vyse cleared this chamber, I am greatly puzzled to account for the presence of so great a mass of stones and earth now in the chamber. Vyse makes the chamber measure 12 feet 13 inches (east-west) by 9 feet 6 inches (north-south). (.374 x 290 + 259 meters).
