(6) G 6040 (north of)
As men came from G 6040, they went in to clearing out drift sand from area north of G 6040. Here several small, partly destroyed rubble mastabas are appearing, but it is not yet possible to number them.
(7) Back of G 6020 and G 6040 and between G 6020 and G 6040
Railroad line II has passed the northwest corner of G 6020 and begun removing the dump from behind G 6040. Also began clearing narrow passage between G 6040 and G 6020.
(8) G 7000 SW (southwest)
Continued with seventeen men trenching southwest quarter of cemetery G 7000. Have dug twenty short trenches. All cut through dumped debris to rock. Debris getting deeper north and west.
(9) G 7410 and G 7420
Examining the top of G 7410 and G 7420 for the survey (under Lieutenant Commander Wheeler) noted

a spare [ILLUSTRATION] walled with massive stones on four sides. The north side may be the south end of G 7410. Began clearing this hole [ILLUSTRATION] to discover its purpose.
