G 7101 A: Finished clearing chamber of G 7101 A. At the south end of room a is a pit descending to the actual burial chamber b.

In the floor of a, is a receptacle cut in the rock. The debris in b was broken stone and sand. In this was found the head of a life size statue in red granite the face of which had been broken off.

G I-a, area north as far as G 7101. Cleared away all surface debris to present rail head. Clearing out debris west of stairway of G 7101. Crude brick retaining walls and pits.
The distinguishing feature of this whole area is the rock-cut scarps. One is certainly connected with the Khufu temple but the rest are not yet clear.
