G 6042 B: Depth 3.9 meters. Sand. Chamber on south, door block partially preserved. Through hole in door block chamber is seen to be full of sand.
G 6042 C: Down 1.2 meters. Mixed debris.
(7) G 6050
G 6050 A: Down 9 meters, sand to 7.35 meters then mixed sand and limestone rubbish. On top of the lining of the pit, a rounded kerb of rough stones had been built by thieves to hold back the sand and mastaba filling while plundering the tomb.
G 6050 B: A large pit south of A. Depth 1.2 meters from top of lining. Ends at rock surface.
(8) G 7000 SW (southwest)

In trench 31: three more late graves XIX [G 7000 SW 19], XX [G 7000 SW 20], XXI [G 7000 SW 21].

The Railroad Line II was stopped except for an occasional car from G 6050 pit A. Line II was running for the convenience of the small gang at work on G 6042 and G 6043.
Line II to 8:00 am: 20, 8:30 - noon: 55, 1:00 - 4:30 pm: 60
total: 135 [540]
Mr. Shaw called with Mrs. Johnson. He is attached to embassy in Constantinople and has been asked to investigate the "archaeological situation". He has been talking with Breasted.
