Continued examination in trenches 26 - 60. Same conditions as before. Old Kingdom rubble lined pits (viii, x [G 7000 SW 8, G 7000 SW 10]) and Saite-Ptolemaic-Roman graves in upper meter.
Found numerous late objects and fragments. All pits and graves are empty of burials except parts of late skeletons.
Pit VIII [G 7000 SW 8] has a bent roof over chamber.

About three-fourths gang [494]. Line I was working out sand in large deep space between G 6050 and G 6052; Line II was on sand east of G 6036. In both cases, a steep lift of 4-5 meters.
