No work on street G 7300, Line IV being used for clearing pits.
(4) G 7210
G 7210 B: Work continued. Clearing passageway from pit to chamber.
(5) G 7310
G 7310 B: Clearing chamber. Found fragments of granite coffin, some of them apparently fire blackened. Also a small unfinished granite mortar (apparently of Ptolemaic Period), few potsherd of red polished Old Kingdom bowl, and few fragments of Ptolemaic faience.
(6) G 7320
G 7320 A: Clearing chamber. A peshesh-kef [ILLUSTRATION] implement [25-1-24] of Dynasty 4 was found in this chamber.
(7) G 7410
G 7410 B: Clearing pit; now down about 11 meters. Debris as that of yesterday. Using in this pit one of the new 8 meter ladders and a 6 meter ladder.
(8) G 7420
G 7420 A: Clearing pit; now down about 8 meters. Ancient thieves debris being removed. Using one 8 meter ladder; nine men passing up baskets.
(9) G 7111
This mastaba (referred to in 1 above) is practically cleared. Clean sand, mixed with ancient thieves debris is coming from its pit.
