The coffin [33-4-21] is perfectly rectangular and flat on all faces, with two small hand knobs to the lid visible along its east edge (the longer side). All the joints and pegs of the wood work are clearly visible and several small patches to repair blemishes. The weight of the coffin should be about 1044 lbs. and of the lid about 378 lbs. Coffin about 34.8 c. ft.; lid 12.6 c. ft.
From the position and nature of the chamber, and the fact that the pit descends further, it would seem that this is not the principal burial. The whole pit filling is undisturbed; so that one may expect the principal burial at a lower level also undisturbed.

G 2150 A: Found in chamber debris: thirty-two model (alabaster) cups [33-1-62], alabaster model jar [two model jars = 33-1-63, 33-1-64], copper objects, copper model ewer, polishing stone [33-1-57], scrap of gold leaf [33-1-46]. Cleared chamber.

Uncovered top of pit B.

G 2200 B [= G 5080 B]: Down 6.60 meters; sand, rubble and stone blocks in debris.
G 2200 C [= G 5080 C]: Depth 5.30 meters; chamber, open, on south, small. Found in pit debris: potsherds, two flints [33-1-60, 33-1-61], granite hammer head [33-1-65].
