Found the main pit (B) of this mastaba. The masonry of the pit only remains very little above rock-level, and the full depth of the mastaba filling is over it.

(2) G 1606
G 1606 B: Small pit, depth .55 meters. Debris of broken bricks, sand and potsherds. Body of very small child, head north. This burial was covered by the mud brick 'buttress' against the east face of mastaba G 1606.

G 1609 A: Removed bones of body, which is that of a man.
