Clearing chamber X, and passage outside, of mastaba 2097 [= G 3097] of dark debris. In debris in chamber two flint flakes [G 26-27], and fragments of a pottery bowl. In debris in passage blue cylindrical beads and three fragments of one other [G 28]. In passage in front of chamber an inscribed ceremonial blood basin [G 65] and to the left another basin of rough stone.
Clearing Pits A, B, C, D of mastaba 2094 [= G 3094] of hard-packed dark debris.
Clearing trench between mastaba 2094 [= G 3094] and mastaba [left blank] of hard-packed debris; also pit of mastaba [left blank] of hard-packed debris.
Was obliged to ask the mounted policemen to go away from the works in order that we might have a chance to photograph the statues and get them out.
Abdraheim Mohammed ran a nail clear through his foot last night and this morning Reis Mahmud has sent him to the doctor.
Am much pleased with the day’s work.
