…same sort of openings in each side and inscribed. In passage, adjoining mastaba 2086 [= G 3086], a fine stone ceremonial basin with a fine inscription on all four sides of both the inside and outside edges. Also in passage fragments of inscribed red-polished pottery jars; also a small fragment of an inscribed limestone stela.
Clearing chamber X (this chamber was roofed with stone blocks) outside of north end of this passage of sand and limestone rubble and dark debris. In surface debris over roof a red-painted seated statuette with the head broken off and the arms broken. The head was found underneath, and fragments of the arms. In chamber a stone ceremonial basin inscribed on all four sides of the outside edge. Also three fragments of wood statuette.
In surface debris of mastaba 2084 [= G 3084] two parts (fitting together) of a limestone stela with a short inscription.
Clearing Pits A, B, C of mastaba 2086 [= G 3086], and serdab between B and C, of sand and dark debris. In Pit A. a small stone ceremonial blood basin.
The mounted policeman at the works this afternoon suggested that I have the notices carried by the guards signed by Capt. DeBucy, Provost-….
