Finished clearing sand from passages between mastaba 3033 and mastabas 3036 and 3037. In front of niche in passage between mastaba 3033 and 3036 a double limestone ceremonial basin with a short inscription on one edge.
Chamber X of mastaba 3036 cleared of sand.
Clearing pits A-F of mastaba 3036 of sand and limestone debris.
Clearing two burial pits of mastaba 3037 of sand.
Clearing deep mass of sand and limestone debris from north of 2080. (=1223) [NOTE: the tomb referred to here is actually G 1227, which is called G 2080 in Fisher and Story’s diaries, and mistakenly called G 1223 throughout Fisher, Minor Cemetery.]
Clearing sand and mud from chamber Y of mastaba 2083 [= G 3083].
Fisher and I went to Cairo on the 8:30 train, going to the bank for money and to arrange for £E. 80 to be telegraphed to Dr. Reisner, to Mr. Xippas for a cheque for $1000.- which was deposited to Dr. Reisner’s H.U.B.M.F.A. account, to Mr. Arnold’s who witnessed signatures on two papers of Dr. Reisner’s, and then to the Museum. Back in camp at 2 P.M. Mr. Xippas told us that £ 100 had been subscribed to the American Relief Fund.
