Faience ushabtis of Nesiptah and Psamtik-seneb

Four hundred four (404) [(four hundred five (405) according to OR page 550)] faience ushabtis; [molded (half-mold), back blade-dressed, details retouched, hard-baked light colored fine grained paste with dark colored specks (sand?), stained greenish next to glaze with light drab zone surrounding nearly white core, greenish blue glaze (presumably oxide of copper and silicate of soda) thick and shiny in well preserved examples]: [Type III 2d: mold i: forty-four (44) inscribed (**styles a, b, c) [GLYPHS] Nesiptah child of Teshamshiye (Tashamsha) (inscriptions vary), three hundred forty-seven (347) uninscribed (like style a); mold ii: five uninscribed; mold iii: one uninscribed; (with these were 8 others of different form that may have been intrusive or accidentally mixed in before burial) Type III 4d: mold iv: one inscribed (Psam), three uninscribed; mold v: one inscribed (Psamtik snb); mold vi: one uninscribed; mold vii: one uninscribed; mold viii: one uninscribed; three hundred seventy-five (375) intact, of inscribed specimens four broken and mended, of uninscribed, twenty broken and mended, six lack feet, many discolored by organic matter some to dark brown, while three or four greatly faded, nearly white; many cracked during baking]; [**44 inscribed ushabtis: thirty-seven (37) of style a: backs and sides blade-dressed, text inscribed by hand with sharp instrument, divine beard small and indistinct, no sack over left shoulder; six (6) of style b: details crudely retouched with blade, divine beard larger and more sharply defined, sack or net over left shoulder; one (1) of style c: details crudely retouched, no sack, arms and hoes in each hand almost invisible].
