Fragments of painted plaster covering from wood statues
Many small fragments of painted plaster covering (consisting of two distinct layers) from wood statues, and one partly preserved eye; there were at least __ male statues and __ female statues from E serdab and __ male statues and __ female statues from N serdab, size can only be judged approximately from some fitting wig fragments compared with other statues such as 36-4-53 (Khuienkhufu), 36-5-32 ([Inti (?)]), or 36-5-40 (Kennunefer): a) standing male statue (smaller full wig), wig fragments show horizontal lines about 1 cm and vertical strokes about 4 - 5 mm apart, inner layer of white plaster (about 2 - 3 mm thick) very soft and fragile with only very thin coating of slightly harder pink plaster (about .5 - 1 mm thick) painted black, flesh parts partly only fine pink plaster (only 2 mm thick in some places and in others up to 1 cm) directly on wood (rough undersurface), and partly harder pink or lighter pink plaster, flesh painted red-brown on fine pink plaster, [kilt] painted white, and necklace and bracelets blue sometimes with black outlines, other fragments consist of two layers of pink plaster (outer layer slightly harder) separated by cloth (12:24 threads to 1 square cm), other fragments have layer of yellowish plaster (about 1 mm thick) separated from inner softer white plaster (about 2 - 3 mm thick) by coarser cloth (5:8 thicker threads to 1 square cm).
